For a while there I didn't have radios that could tune up above 1700 well, like my trusty GE Superadio, but I used to pull in crazy stuff on that, like a TIS station from North Carolina, and a Texas airport radio station around 1630. When I first saw it, with the 'hula hoops' and everything, I thought of your antenna, and I don't see other antenna top hats out there like it. I think Album AM's antenna looks like an Olympic statue. Maybe schools want old Carrier Current couplers for their systems, since there would be no support from LPB any more. Also, if you know your stuff or are willing to learn and work with discrete components like capacitors and ferrite cores, it's not too hard to build a reasonable and safe coupler. These guys have been around for a long time, and I know stations who have gotten gear from them. I note they're doing 'Parking Lot Radio', and it's a good alternative, because when the pandemic hit, the Part-15 transmitters all sold out on line fast! I don't know, but I think if they used the same design as the old transmitters, then it would still have unintentional FM. My opinion is the FMing is caused by modulated RF feedback into the oscillator section. The transmitter is PLL controlled to stop frequency variations, but the PLL isn't fast enough to remove FM caused at an audio rate; audio is too fast to correct for.
