I have music at 2005 UTC, but not strong enough to ID the song. Definite M speaking at '15 on a peak. Vy wk sig - I have to use pre-amp 2 on the R-75 to hear anything! Back to music '18. M talk '24. YL group '26, more M talk '28. Possible ad '31. Sure wish it was strong enough to actually hear what was going on! Off at prezactly 2100 UTC.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Happened to find Dr Benway on 6940 as I tuned by. S6 to S8 with a very nice AM signal. Show about early broadcasts. Good to hear him again.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Came on with several uninterrupted tunes, then an ID and into the "Harry Smith Program" featuring one of their favorite DXers. Played several Johnny Cash songs for Harry before signing off at 1440. Good signal in WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
SZX was in there again earlyish this morning, maybe 1230 UTC. Weak but readable. Still haven't heard GNK...by jtart - Other logs
I think I have figured out why Bram hasn't heard this yet. I've discovered that it's audible from 26865 to 26875, so it's centered at about 26870! The Icom 706 is reknowned for having a broad IF, and I don't have a narrow filter installed, so it is not uncommon to hear stations 5 kHz off from their actual frequency. On the R75, the signal is still kinda broad but it does peak at 870. It's in tby jtart - Other logs
Good signal into WNY with various hip-hop and "active" rock. Seem to have the audio problems figured out. Peaking around a S7.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Loud & clear into WNY for entire show.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
I have a *very* weak CW signal on 13564 at 1627 UTC, but it doesn't read as "GNK". The code is: ... --.. -..- or S Z X... Just barely in there on the R-75 and DX-A.by jtart - Other logs
Paul Starr with oldies in AM with a good signal. Haven't heard them for a while... S6 to S7 on peaks. Later Ultraman with a Beatles overdose. Really, there is other good music!by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Been copiable for a while but peaked prior to 1200 UTC. Could make out hard rock, apparently some comedy, M ancr (who didn't sound terribly DU). Sig now (1230) just barely audible at my local noise level. Possible ID about 1154. Gone completely before 1300.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
This thing is driving me crazy! In the past three or four days, it's appeared daily, sometimes as early as 7 a.m. ET (1100 UTC) and sometimes with a rather good signal. It comes and goes. What is it? I only hear it in AM mode - I checked the others and got nothing. It sounds like two hollow blocks of wood (as in rhythm band; remember that?) being knocked together at a steady three to four beaby jtart - Other logs
Came on with decent signal for a change. Government Shutdown program: So far mostly a montage of bits and "I'm a good monkey" clips. 1239*. So, who needs the government anyhow?by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Spacey music just breaking the background noise. Clear ID at 0031 UTC and back to spacey instrumental music. Still going at 0044. Been a while! Update: Clear(er) ID at 0100 UTC as "LTO Radio", saying "bye for now..." Still going at 0137 UTC. Fighting it out with the pestadores. Slow but steady upward shift in frequency - above 6926 now.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
If they'd only QSL... *sigh*by jtart - Shortwave Broadcast Logs
Maybe my unID report from this morning?by jtart - General radio discussion
Very weak signal into WNY; the pestadors drowned it out at times! M ancr and gentle music noted. Played a piano tune, then some digital signal and gone at 1238. No chance of an ID. Strange to hear anything on a Wednesday morning...by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Found a full color, full data eQSL from Radio Pipeline in my inbox this morning for the 21 Sept broadcast. Thanks much, Sufer Joe..!by jtart - General radio discussion
Weak but steady signal into WNY. Too weak to pull out much detail, but could tell M & W talking and a bit of native music here and there.by jtart - Shortwave Broadcast Logs
Has anybody heard - or heard from - Radio Totse since very early September? I haven't heard a trace of their signal for a few weeks now. Original reporters rcvd eQSLs within 24 hours, but nobody seems to have gotten one since.by jtart - General radio discussion
Presume that's what I'm hearing from 2220 UTC - spacey music (which I do not recognize) with talk about "when lava flows into the ocean..." and other stuff. Good signal into WNY, S6 to S7 on the crusty old R75. QSL appreciated although I haven't heard an actual ID. Fast CW with clicks at 2236. Loud "buzzing" began at 2237; don't know if that's the station or not. Apparentlby jtart - Free Radio Logs
All I saw was an article about the FCC warning LPFM applicants to have their crap in a pile, nothing about LPAM. It is true that you need to have all the details worked out before you file your application...by jtart - Other logs
Very loud signal - maybe the audio is just a bit "hot" (or they're right here in Belfast!) - with surf music and surf reports. Played Chantays "Pipeline" among others. QSL appreciated. 1960 Studebaker ad at 2347 UTC. "Surfing in a Hurricane" followed by an ID with gmail addy, then Surfing Bird at 0007 UTC. Beachboys "Surfer Girl" at 0010.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Today's mail brought a very nice full color and full data map card from KVOH - 9975 kHz in 14 days for an email report. Thanks to a tip from Chris Lobdell, in fact! I think WBCQ is the only 50kW domestic station I haven't verified now...by jtart - General radio discussion
Unusual today - in as early as 1150 UTC. Fades out completely, then comes back to S4, then fades out again.by jtart - Other logs
In again today (09/17) quite loud about 1620 UTC. Still fading in and out at 1640. Sure would like to know what and where this is..!by jtart - Other logs
On at 1142 UTC and into music, followed by repeated IDs. S5 to S7 signal with good modulation! Still on as I type this at 1221. 1300* - and by then the signal was down to no reading on the S-meter.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Fading in and out again this afternoon from 1845 UTC. Just after 1900 quite loud. Roughly two "ticks" per second.by jtart - Other logs
In today's mail a regular size card from CHKN and an over-size card from WCS "We're Collective Soul". Amazing!!by jtart - General radio discussion
Price? (I bet it's out of *my* budget!)by jtart - The Swap Shop
Weak but clear with no QRM or QRN. On with tone for two minutes, then 10-note IS. ID, music, and then news. Signal improved from nuttin' on the meter to S4/S5 by 1250UTC. Report sent. Probably should add that this was an English xmsn to Asia...by jtart - Shortwave Broadcast Logs
