I think I see the problem. You used an entire gallon? The signals are just slipping off! ;) Moreover, I bet you used 40-weight, which is good for the usual pirate frequencies. For this one you need 10w-30...by jtart - Other logs
Would probably help more to turn on your radio... ;)by jtart - Other logs
On with "The East Is Red", IDs and into pop music. Poor to fair into WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
I have to revise my statement; just heard 'em. Not great or loud and clear, but there they were with football. First time I've found 'em...by jtart - Other logs
You must have a pipeline to Denver! I have yet to hear that one... :(by jtart - Other logs
Or SSB vs AM..? ;) (same person) It wasn't my intention to create a "controversy". I merely asked a question.by jtart - General radio discussion
No, the same cannot be said for eQSLs; it's an entirely different thing. To get an eQSL, the listener has to be sitting at the radio listening, write an ereport, and press Send. Pretty much the same as sending a report thru the mail. eQSLs are as valid as snail-mail QSLs in my book. Just faster. I have no problem with that. My point is that "SDR catches" do not require any human inteby jtart - General radio discussion
I have noticed elsewhere (not on this site) certain listeners posting "logs" hours after the alleged reception, usually stating that it was a "SDR catch". What this translates to is that the listener did not actually hear the station; their receiver did. Of what value is a hours-late report - other than to note that somebody was on when nobody was listening? And should aby jtart - General radio discussion
Poor to fair into WNY. Music "I Wanna Do It (with you)" thru 1400 UTC and IDs. Going for saturation, hey? Off 1413 UTC after Paul Revere & Raiders.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Fair signal into WNY with Paul Revere & the Raiders "Kicks", IDs and gone at 1237 UTC.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Repeated loon IS, but no program followed. Maybe a test?by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Usual great signal from Dr Benway with his 2005 Halloween show - lotsa skits about death and dying. Have to ask, though: How do you know when you're "in the middle of nowhere"? Does nowhere have edges? ;)by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Last time I checked the maildrop still worked. Feel free to send reports.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Followed Northwoods and complimented Jackpine Savage on his show. Sed he'd Googled the group Halloween and was surprised to find a bunch of info on them. Lots of metal music and good sig into WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Sed possibly first ever Halloween show. Featured music by the group Halloween (makes sense). Good signal into WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Off at 2312 UTC after ID as Mysterious American Radio. QSL appreciated.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
On and off with SSTV, various mx, Star Trek clip, "Marakesh Express", no announcements. Sounded like AC in the audio - steady distortion throughout the broadcast. Could be a shorted blocking cap. Very weak into WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Just hope it tunes below 60 MHz. Won't do ya much good on pirates if it doesn't. And the article talks about "police scanners"...by jtart - The Workshop
Supposedly "twangy" music (sounds more like heavy metal to me) and very thin audio. YL with ID at 0023 UTC, then gone. Decent signal into WNY - S5 to S6. Back on at 0025 with repeated IDs. "Radio with a little twang to it". And what sounded like a CB clip.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Weak signal fighting my low local noise level and a drifty LO squeal. Electronic music and M voice but couldn't make out more than that. Someone sez it was "My New Underpants", but I couldn't vouch for that...by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Got a full data, full color QSL sheet and two "Do U WAZU?" stickers in todays' mail - four days total (and one was a Sunday and one was a holiday). Thanks ff... Nice stickers, too!by jtart - General radio discussion
Same eQSL (#113) received here last evening. Thx, Luigi!by jtart - General radio discussion
That was Pirate Radio New Jersey, supposedly on to give reports of the Senatorial election in NJ. He was obviously rooting for the Republican candidate who lost.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Old rock music and decent signal. Off after "Dirty Water" (not certain if Standells).by jtart - Free Radio Logs
S3 to S7, but fading here in WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
They're about as scarce as pay phones in these parts...by jtart - General radio discussion
How'd ya do that on a day the PO is closed..?by jtart - General radio discussion
Weak signal into WNY with M talking about Tesla. At one point sounded like some piano music with a YL singing over it. May have been part of the program. Now (2212 UTC) there's some CW going on frequency. CW was marker from XSG, Shanghai. Tesla gone at 2238.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
The unusual ID puzzled me for a while, but then the light came on: YaHWeH... Makes sense. I see Pigmeat Martin has heard it, but I haven't yet.by jtart - General radio discussion
