** Ballsmacker Radio

4/2, 0107, 6960am. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S9 to S9+15 signal, song "won't get fooled again", oldie "why do fools fall in love", song "fooled around and fell in love", the program theme is "fool", at 0200 signal down to S7 to S9, at 0245 back up to S9+10, at 0254 SSTV/FAX, announcement then piano interval signal, carrier off at 0257 utc, thanks for the nice broadcast. (Hassig-IL)

4/2, 0220-0229+, 6960am. Rock music & Doobie Bros.; 0228:32 Ballsmacker.net spot. S9+ but w/subdued audio (Frodge-MI)

4/3, 0105, 6960am. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S9 to S9+10 signal, song "won't get fooled again" then oldie "why do fools fall in love?", apparently a rerun of yesterday's program, occasional light UTE QRM. (Hassig-IL)

** Best Smooth Jazz

4/2, 2115-2145, 6876usb. Best Smooth Jazz (presumably from Mix Radio Int’l relay) with listener feedback, birthday greetings and the like as well as ‘smooth jazz’ music. This is a radio relay of the ‘podcast’ .... 3543+3 occasional fades to the mud. VERY wideband and if it were just a titch better it would be EZL. --Zichi MI2

** Ion Radio

4/3, 2050-2131, 6970am. SSTV at 2050 (Scottie 2), 2055 (Scottie 1) and 2126 (Scottie 1). ID by YL at 2110. (35543 to 25332, Hunsicker, PA)

** Man Cave Radio

4/2, 2126-2151, 6923.97am. Some of the music was understandable, but generally was unusable. (25332, Hunsicker, PA)

** Mix Radio International

** Outhouse Radio

4/2, 0154, 6930usb. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with poor noisy S5 to S7 signal, country and western tunes, switched to Normal IL sdr with same results. (Hassig-IL)

4/2, 0211-0220+, 6930usb. In the Still of the Night & Eddie Arnold’s Cattle Call (hit #1 in 1955); ID @0219. S6-7 w/buzzy QRM/N + whine (Frodge-MI)

** Radio USA

4/2, 2248-2313, 6925am. Radio USA w/clear IDs at both :49 and again at :02 and OM tx including the Wellsville NY PO Drop address but I couldn’t tell you what he said in any detail. 2+5332 mostly in the noise but popped up clearly for the IDs (that just doesn’t happen!) --Zichi MI2

** Unid

4/1, 2138-2202, 6919/6920usb. Rap music was understandable but OM announcer's voice was unintelligible. YL repeated, "The request lines are open, I will wait." (35443, Hunsicker, PA)

4/2, 0007-0020, 6925usb. Unidentified (said to be WHIZ per HFU) ID at 0007 missed. Faint music that was too weak to understand. (15341, Hunsicker, PA)

4/2, 0009-0019, 6931am. Faint and unusable. OM at 0010. (15341, Hunsicker, PA)

4/2, 0325-0403, 6865usb. Glam pop ditties like Smooth Operator, Don’t You Want Me Baby, Don’t Turn Around, Rio; SIO=4+54+ till 0333:50 when dropped down noticeably; off for 37 sec. @0334:50 & back w/SIO=454 w/brief dropoffs; 0349:50 & 0351:18 briefly switched to LSB. (Frodge-MI)

4/4, 0014-0044, 6974.9am. Rock music. Never heard an ID (35343, Hunsicker, PA)

4/4, 0032-0042+, 6974.9am. Sounds like mostly punk rock, just above QRN level. (Frodge-MI)

** WDOG

4/2, 2349, 6880usb. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with good S7 to S9 signal, song "don't you want me" then short announcement then another 1980's tune, at 2357 WDOG ID with dog barking, more 1980's soft pop tunes. (Hassig-IL)

4/3, 0108-0121:31*, 6880usb. Tuned in to howling, to anmt to tune to 5050-60 in about 30 min.; Weird version of Who Let the Dogs Out followed by 8+ min. of howling (15 sec. would have been plenty); 0120:53 SSTV & off. SIO=353+ (Frodge-MI)

4/3, *0138:05-0143+, 5055am. On with pop ditty & code IDs; 0141 dog barks to voice ID into folk ditty. SIO=4+54; shifted here from 6880. (Frodge-MI)

** WTF Radio Worldwide

4/2, 2205-2256, 6860am. WTF Radio Worldwide w/rock music like Aerosmith’s “Combination” and “Sweet Emotion”. ID at 2319 by OM 35443+ --Zichi MI2

4/2, 2213-2253, 6860am. Music and an ID at 2253. Audio bandwidth about 7000 Hz. (45433, Hunsicker, PA)

** YHWH

4/8, 1508, 15785am. In routine bandscan, I discover anti-Christ pirate Station YHWH on new frequency, the signature vocalizations of Josiah needing no explicit ID. No problem from the 1 kW DRM in Germany allegedly 24h on 15780-15790 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

4/8, 1517, 15785am. Josiah peaking over QRN, almost fair at times. Much better in SSB than AM, and much better than when he was on 15100 recently (Frodge-MI)

** Zeeky

== FM ==

** Maryland

4/8, 3:30pm local time, 90.3fm. Long running classic hits jukebox pirate with music by Helen Reddy, I Am Woman; Fixx, Saved By Zero; and a Doors tune. Fair to good signal in the southern and eastern Frederick area, despite lots of buzzy, station-obliterating interference in the commercial strip area south of the city. (Will-MD)
