12/27, 0105, 6950/U; Listening since 0028 to rock music just
     above the static floor, came up @0105 with guitar, 0110
     ID, then dropped off again.  (Taylor - WI)
12/29, 0043, 6955/U; SSTV (didn’t have the decoder on, others
     had a dog’s head with “2 Dog Radio”) into a program of
     rock music with occasional ID’s. Poor (Taylor - WI)
1/1, 0030, 6950/U; on Barrington Hills IL sdr, barely hear
     heavy metal rock under S5 noise level, @0042 weak SSTV/
     FAX, @0046 barely hear the song You can't always get
     what you want under the mud. (Hassig-IL)
1/2, 0020, 6950/U; on Barrington Hills IL sdr, S5 to S7 signal,
     hear various rock music. (Hassig-IL)

BALL SMACKER RADIO:

1/1, 0202, 4030/AM; I’ve got a pair of roller skates, you got
     a brand new key, New Attitude, ID into more songs & ID’s
     including some offering an e-qsl. Fair-good (Taylor - WI)
1/1, 0324-0345*, 4030/AM; Garth Brooks’ New Way To Fly at tune
     in then Rush New World Man (I guess the theme is ‘new’.)
     Also sent the usual SSTV at :39.

     ‘bonus’ F2020 by Avenue Beat after it. 35443+ just

CAPTAIN MORGAN SW:

1/1, 2254, 6950.7/AM; Blues music eventually with ID. Poor–
     fair (Taylor - WI)
1/1, 2314, 6951/AM; on Barrington Hills IL sdr, weak S5 to S7
     signal, song One scotch one soda one beer, then another
     blues tune by same musical group, @2325 said “This is
     Captain Morgan shortwave" with Twilight Zone music, more
     blues music, off @2330, thanks for the program. (Hassig-IL)

COAST-to-COAST AM with Art Bell:

1/1, 2208, 6925/AM; OM talk - can hear few phrases but can't
     tell topic. 2224 came up with an ad with 800 number, ad
     for Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell, another indistinct ad
     into more talk, enough to tell it is Art Bell "people have
     the right to say they should know...” 2239 Signal came up
     enough to tell Art Bell was talking - fair amount of QSB
     although generally poor. Also heard: 6925 DSB 1419, 1/2. 
     Another Art Bell program. Barely audible, although enough
     to hear a “Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell” ID at one point.
     Off mid sentence @1430. Had to listen in Dual Sideband due
     to a squealing center carrier on 6925.0. Poor to very poor

KIPM:

1/2, 2115, 6925/U; Alan Maxwell’s take on the Adam & Eve story,
     ID sequence, Elkhorn maildrop address, mellow music, into a
     High Frequency Radio Church program: OM w/message about God
     being with us, maildrop address, Alan Maxwell w/High Fre-
     quency Radio Church. Confused man & Alan Maxwell leading
     him in an absurd prayer, 2138 mellow music, KIPM ID &
     another High Frequency Electromagnetic Church program,
     2153 ID into more KIPM programs. Off 2254. Fair to good
     (Taylor - WI)

KPZL PUZZLE RADIO:

1/1, 0001, 6933/CW; I reported this as CW QRM on the post for
     Screaming Man Radio on 6930 AM. I am not fluent in Morse,
     thanks for the translation by other posters. (Hassig-IL)

OUTHOUSE RADIO:

1/2, 0132, 6955/U; I'm a believer, samples of 60's pop songs,
     SSTV ("The fickle finger of pickledness" an earlier comment
     on HFU chat), more samples from pop songs, You keep me hangin'
     on (from Ed Sullivan show) - Vanilla Fudge, Green eyed lady
     - Sugarloaf, era songs, 0239 - ID; 0335 Green onions with
     Outhouse talking, ID & end of program, off. Started out fair
     signal had slow QSB by the end making listening hard on
     troughs.  (Taylor - WI)

RADIO FREE WHATEVER:

1/7, 2219-2222+, 6945/U; Rock music & ID. SIO=454- (Frodge-MI)
 
SCREAMING MAN RADIO:

12/31-1/1, 2301, 6930/AM, on Barrington Hills IL sdr hear weak
     S7 signal, heard C&W music with banjo, now rock tune 1984
     (don't know which version), now hear short British comedy
     tune, now heavy metal rock tune, signal improving to S9 at
     times, @2334 alternate version of Peaches en Regalia by
     Frank Zappa, @2339 male screaming, @2343 Van Halen Ain't
     talkin' about love, about 2356 slow weak CW QRM on 6933,
     CW QRM still going @0026 & carrier on 6930 is now down in
     the mud & I can only hear the CW QRM which was KPZL Puzzle
     Radio in CW mode. (Hassig-IL)
12/31, 2340, 6930/AM; OM, Ain't talking about love - Van Halen,
     Don't want to live without it - Public Cruse, Waiting
     around to die - Townes van Zandt, Sandman - America,
     Think of Laura - Christopher Cross, 0020 An innocent man
     - Billy Joel; out of the room & came back to an incoherent
     screaming by a man into more music. Poor–fair with cyclic
     QSB. Also heard: 6930 AM 0014, 1.2.21. Rock music, man
     talking (indistinct), man screaming after barely audible
     ID. Poor (Taylor - WI)

WDDR DRUNKEN DJ RADIO:

1/1, 0106, 4015/U 445 Tuned into Johnny Bash Steer It Up. 0107
     ID. SSTV @0206, 0231, 0304, 0340, 0407. Still on when
     I turned off radio to watch the NY NYC ball drop. (Amelar)
1/1, 0106, 4015/U; on Barrington Hills IL sdr, good S9 signal
     over S3 noise level, hear reggae tune by Johnny Nash as
     announced by DJ, mentioned my name along with others who
     posted on HF underground, @0207 SSTV/FAX, @0218 I switched
     to Normal IL sdr with S9 signal. (Hassig-IL)
1/1, 0205, 4015/U; 0222 Hard rain gonna fall (good cover), Mid-
     night Rider – Allman Brothers, Drunken DJ talking about
     how his drinking was going, the music, folks who logged on
     HF Underground & gave an ID into Happy – Rolling Stones,
     DDJ talking more about being happy, folks who logged, etc.
     Following his usual New Year’s Eve format of playing music
     while getting more drunk as the evening goes on with talk
     & sending SSTV sends of a themed picture of someone who
     logged on HFU & e.g. “Radio Star Radio.”  Went on a good
     deal more drunkenly after I pulled the plug @0300 according
     to HFU logs. Good (Taylor - WI)
1/1, 0220, 4015 w/Allman Brothers Midnight Rider, followed by
     Rolling Stones. Excellent signal in USB. SSTV @0231. Joe
     Walsh @0241. ID @0248. Please e-QSL or snail mail at

1/1, 0324-0413, 4015/U; decidedly non-drunk sounding DJ taking
     requests & playing SSTV. Songs included Traffic Sometimes
     I feel so) Uninspired at tune in & SSTV @0340:

     Then Vitamin C by Ege Bamyasi. @0347 a mention he was
     taking requests (most of which appeared to come from the
     pirate boards) including Frank Zappa’s cover of the All-
     man Brothers’ Tied to the Whipping Post (talk about brin-
     ging back college memories!) R.E.M.’s Radio Song & ID
     @0355. Elton John’s Have Mercy on the Criminal @ToH then
     another SSTV @0407:

     These were tribute SSTVs not to be confused with IDs
     which were all audio. Then Illegal Smile by John Prine
     @0410 continuing with DJ chatter & another WDDR ID at
     :13 tune out. 44+444 w/VERY occasional ‘digital raspy’
     QRM way under the signal & a whistle at 4 kHz so as long
     as the bandwidth was less than that it was fine. Nice
     sounding music, but his microphone was a bit tinny.
     I always forget I can record more than one station so
     long as they aren’t too far away from each other in
