6960 AM Ballsmacker Radio, 0146, 5.20.23. “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" - The Band, ID, "You shook me all night long" - AC / DC, "All through the night" - Cyndi Lauper, ID w/ frequency, "Undercover of the night" - Rolling Stones into a program of "night" themed songs with frequent IDs and offers of eQSL for identifying tonight's theme. 0300 - SSTV (didn't decode here), ID and eQSL offer, "Wildfire" IS, off 0304. Ball Smacker Radio, 6960am, 5-20-23, 0104 UTC on Barrington Hills IL sdr with weak noisy S7 to S9 signal, old Moody Blues tune playing, had to select SAL because of strong QRM from pirate on 6961 usb. (Hassig-IL)

5/22, 0347, 7475/AM. Just seemed to cut in, usual op ("Josiah"), doing the Commandments rerun at 0400. Very erratic, S-1 to S-9, then down to S-1 again, sometimes seeming to cut clear off. Signal came way up with an "I love you, good night", and was gone at 0419. Logged on Drake SW8 and long wire. (Barton-AZ)

5/20, 0315, 7475/AM. Usual op, in progress at tune-in with usual anti-Christian monologue, taking swipes at "half-man, half god, outer limits entity". Transmitter cut off momentarily at 0403. Closing Ann and "Days of Hard Life" at 0415. At 0420, closed with "Good night, auf wiedersehen, station YHWH is now going dark" & off. We noted signal gradually got stronger during the bx and was "Good" to "Very Good" by 0415, and green tuning eye on the rig was fully lit. Logged on RS DX-402 and indoor antenna during local storm event. (Barton-AZ)

5/25, 0330, 7475/AM. In progress at tune-in at 0330, voice of Josiah Elias, but way out in the mud making it hard to follow the content. Somewhat improved by 0400, and talking about the warmongers. Days of Hard Life at 0413, some closing remarks, "Until next time, good night folks", & off at 0418 Logged on Drake SW8 and long wire. -- Poor to Fair (Barton-AZ)

KMUD Mojave Phone Booth

KMUD Mojave Phone Booth rebroadcast via NAPRS, 6935am, 5-21-23, at 0130 tried several sdr's in USA and Canada and got weak carrier on all of them with occasional audio of people talking. (Hassig-IL)

7400, May 19 at 0508, no signal from R. Vostochnaya Zvezda, pirate. Had been just about every night, until this from Lucas Bandura on the WOR blog May 15: ``Operator just posted this message in the HF Underground discord chat: “no radio pushka {previous name for same op, meaning rifle} for a while now. Chinese radio/exciter failed. Its garbage anyways, lousy amplifier circuit and very poor audio quality if using the built in modulator”`` and Arthur Pozner replied:

``it was obvious he was not using anything reliable from the very beginning. First started broadcasting in USB mode and later switched to very poor AM and invariably the result was always very atrocious audio; maybe he will find something that is made in the US or Japan! (Glenn Hauser, OK)
