Mix Radio International 6880AM 15 April 2023 0001-0002 and 0011-0638* A carrier appeared on 6880 at 0001 and lasted for about a minute. 35 dB over the noise. The carrier reappeared and dance music started at 0011. 12,000 Hz bandwidth. The first ID I heard was at 0047. At 0220, a waterfall image was sent. Music continued until sign-off at 0638. KIPM via Undercover Radio, 6925 usb, 4-16-23, 0025 utc on Brookfield WI sdr with noisy S9 to S9+10 signal, Dr. Benway speaking for Undercover Radio then the KIPM announcer Alan Maxwell, "the selectors are locked, the channel is centered" from the Outer Limits episode "galaxy being". (Hassig-IL)

6930 USB Outhouse Radio, 0015, 4.22.23. Short broadcast on only a few minutes when I tuned into a SSTV (maybe a dog), "Hair of the dog" - Nazareth, “That’s about it then” … ID, off. Poor with significant lightning QRN. (Taylor – WI)

6935 USB Cloudsplitter Radio, 2344, 4.22.23. A Sci fi. Radio play (apparently from BBC Radio 4 – HF Underground indicated an archival broadcast), ID, off. Poor enough that it was difficult to follow with significant lightning QRN. (Taylor – WI)

Ballsmacker Radio

6960 AM Ballsmacker Radio, 0124, 4.22.23. "L.A. Woman" - The Doors, "California Dreamin'" - The Mamas and the Papas", ID, "Monterey" - Eric Burdon & the Animals. Signal getting noisy to the point where I pulled the plug. Poor with significant lightning QRN. // listed 4020 was inaudible. (Taylor – WI)

Ballsmacker Radio. 4/15, 0124, 6960am. Music, Babylon Sisters by Steely Dan. 0127, Mother's Little Helper by the Rolling Stones. Ballsmacker ID at 0130 and into Sister Golden hair. 0133, Your Sister Cannot Twist by Elton John. 0135, Sister Christian by Night Ranger. Very good AM audio, s15 despite noisy conditions. (Will-MD)

Ballsmacker Radio 6960AM 15 April 2023 0056-0254* Carrier with no audio at 0056. The Ballsmacker IS started at 0058 and then “Good evening ham sandwiches.” Music and occasional IDs. QSL info, plus a special QSL for identifying the theme of the music. 3000 Hz seemed best. SSTV image in Scottie 2 at 0250 with an ID. (35443, Hunsicker, PA)

Ball Smacker Radio, 6960 am, 4-15-23, 0058 utc on Brookfield WI sdr with noisy S9+10 signal, heard piano IS then ID then song "we are family" under the noise, Other sdr's in upper Midwest even worse, song "mother and child reunion" by Simon & Garfunkel. (Hassig-IL)

6960 AM. Ballsmacker Radio, 0059, 4.15.23. Just caught the last round of “Wildfire” IS, ID and into music. Ballsmacker was barely audible with an S9 open carrier on the frequency and so was essentially unlistenable. It was not local as others were reporting it on HF Underground to the East of me. Readings from the book, “Exceptional Ideas Have Consequences,” regarding corruption of language. Toward the end, seemed to tout the FSB (the Russian Security Service?). 3000 Hz. Crapola Shortwave Radio

6905USB 19 April 2023 0059-0130* Opened with an ID (right on top of a nasty band of noise) and 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. ID for Brainbox Shortwave Pirate Radio Network. Regular chatter between the Professor and his YL. Time will not let Me, Judy in Disguise, if I Find her, and others. 4000 Hz seemed to cover the signal, but 3000 lopped off much of the offending noise. (35342, Hunsicker, PA)

London Soul Radio

6925AM 15 April 2023 1217-1417* Carrier appeared with distorted audio (yet it covered 24,000 Hz of the band). A recent recording since there were advertisements for concerts in London (UK) in April and May 2023. DJ Sapphire led listeners through one of her weekly, Monday night smooth Jazz broadcasts. IDs as “We are London Soul Radio, The Soul of London.” Sapphire called out to her many listeners, including some in North America. (45452 for distortion, Hunsicker, PA)

6935AM 15 April 2023 1256-1329* A carrier appeared at 1256 and music was playing at 1300 but may have started at 1258. Since there was a lot of spatter from London Soul Radio, USB @ 3000 Hz. 25 dB or so above the noise, which is too weak for reliable AM in Wyomissing. Music and perhaps a story near the end of the broadcast. (Weak, often unusable; Hunsicker, PA)

Radio Titanic International 6919.8AM 16 April 2023 1311-1343* the carrier appeared at 1311, there were some tones at 1313, then music. ID at 1326 following music. Mostly unusable. Hard to tell what bandwidth was best; used 6000 Hz. (25241, mostly; Hunsicker, PA)

7400, April 20 at 0642, JBA music, then ``Mayak``interval signal, and unreadable talk mixed with music: from R.Vostochnaya Zvezda: first reported moved from 7320 to 7400 at 0419 UT April 19 by Lucas Bandura, BC:``[WOR] Radio Channel Eastern Star now on 7400 AM -- He moved yesterday at 0423 UTC April 18. I was talking to him in the HF Underground Discord chat and he moved to get away from the Radio Martí QRM. Today he is having issues with his audio that is causing distortion. I have also heard the English ID as “Radio Channel Eastern Star” now. `Per EiBi, 7400 is a good clear spot - except Brazilian Pará pirate R. Antares could be there at any hour; nothing broadcasting at night on 7395 or 7405 (Glenn Hauser, OK,)

6935 am, 4-20-23, 0103 utc on Ottawa Ontario sdr with weak noisy S7 to S9 signal, Audio is bass heavy, I heard myself as Garfield Morris from an old KAT cassette that I sent out to people who reported my broadcast from my friend Pam's house on the rock river in Edgerton WI (25 miles SE of Madison) back in the 1990's, now playing "hey baby I'm your telephone man" (I worked for Ma Bell for 36½ years in the central offices), switched to Amherst NH sdr with same signal, at 0122 African tune "Skokian" from my first bcst, at 0126 heard myself giving KAT ID then talk of the late Richard J Daley, mayor of Chicago 1955-1976, switched back to Ottawa ONT sdr, song: "dear officer Krupke" from West Side Story, switched to Fair Hill MD sdr with slightly better S9 to S9+10 signal, end of broadcast announcement. Oh, man this was a real trip. Thanks, whoever did this? Carrier off at 0140. (Hassig-IL)

6950 USB WTF Radio Worldwide, 0128, 4.16.23. Program of Credence Clearwater Revival music. Much of it from a live recording in 1970. Comments and IDs between nearly every song. Music included "Born on the Bayou," "Good golly Miss Molly", "Proud Mary", "The night time is the right time", ”Green River" and other CCR classics. Ending with "Suzi Q", making favorite the op’s last song, "bye bye", "Born on the Bayou" (live version, 1970), "Lead a normal life" - Peter Gabriel, 0241 Off. 6935 usb, 4-15-23, 0116 utc on Brookfield WI sdr with fair S9 signal, sounds like an old KIPM program from 20+ years ago, variety of strange programming with eerie music, parts of old radio dramas including X minus one and Orson Welles infamous Martian invasion broadcast, thanks for the program. 6925 USB Undercover Radio, 0021, 4.16.23. Atmospheric music, ID and email address, "Tundra" - Delirium, monologue (hard to understand through lightning QRN), Alan Maxwell opening KIPM broadcast. 0125 KIPM ID and ending that program, 0127 KIPM ends; start of another KIPM program. 0300 an old time radio suspense program. 0307 ID and "contact me at Undercover radio at gmail.com", another voice with "I'm the only voice in the atmosphere" into a monologue over weird music. Fair to good signal throughout although lightning QRN was difficult at times. (Taylor – WI)

6935 USB Undercover Radio, 0103, 4.15.23. Tuned in to an ID and theme “Broadcasting in the middle of nowhere.” Went through tonight’s schedule, which was 2 of Alan Maxwell’s new KIPM broadcasts. Starting with Alan Maxwell bending the mind on the topic of time – existence of time, time travel, etc. KIPM ID, Dr. Benway with an ID and some talk about the next program and into another program. 6935 AM / USB UnIdentified, 0120, 4.23.23. Pulses for a couple of minutes into indistinct music, 2 SSTVs (no reception here). Nothing audible here until 0209 with a change to USB. Quite audible then with 2 seemingly stoned OMs in unfocused discussion about food apparently sausage ... discussion ended with "Happy Halloween", pause, NPR news (current w/ item on civil war in Sudan) into another unfocused discussion about mac and cheese, blueberry cobbler, etc. Very poor until moved to USB, then fair improving too good with lightning QRN throughout. UNID (Underdog?) 6950 usb, 4-15-23, 2341 utc on Traverse City MI sdr with noisy S9+10 signal, hear music under the noise, various TV theme music such as Superman, Wyatt Earp, etc, at 2354 SSTV/FAX of Underdog TV cartoon character as shown by other posters but with noise in picture, apparently off at 2356.
