UNIDs:

2/15, 1632, 9025/AM; in routine bandscan, surprised to encoun-
ter President John F. Kennedy`s inaugural address, one
of the great speeches of history, mentions ``first 100
days`` & immortal phrases like ``Let us never fear to
negotiate``, but cut off air abruptly at 1636.6*.
Sounds like could be a regular broadcast transmitter &
S9/S6, even stronger than 9395 WRMI at S5/S6. I soon
find that this has been previously reported almost
exactly one year ago on Feb 18, 2022, suspected of being
US military rather than a pirate: [www].
      hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,93157.
msg297341.html#msg297341. Like then, this keeps cutting
on for 5 minutes or so, breaks off for 5 minutes or so.
JFK certainly deserves more respect! FWIW, further on/off
approx. timings, but this gets old rather quickly:
      *1652-1657*, *1702-1707* including 1703 ``Ask not what
your country can do for you...``; end of speech 1704,
``God`s work must truly be our own``, brief outro by
another voice, or rather intro and restarted. *1712-1717*,
      *1723-1727*, *1732-1737.5*, *1742.5-1747.5* then some
      ``running water``; *1752.7-?, *1802.8-1805, restart;
*1812.8-?; 1817.5 another restart with Chet Huntley?
voice intro, but soon cut off again. *1823-; 1845
recheck still going; and *1903.5 and 1923 yet again.
I notified the WOR iog and it seems I am getting it
better than in Michigan or Maryland. I switched from
direct to the Missouri remote for convenience at *1652,
      hitting S7 and only 3 or 4 Hz off-frequency-minus
      (Glenn Hauser, OK)
2/16, 0149, 6950/U; I kiss the flowers in bloom - Close Lob-
sters, song by an unfamiliar YL singer, off 0156. Good
      (Taylor, WI)
2/18, 0312-0426, 6935/AM; Carrier appeared @0312. I never heard
a hint of an ID. Mostly Blues & Jazz with a prominent
organ (the instrument, the instrument...) (35443 to 25342,
      Hunsicker, PA)
2/18, 0427, 6925/U; One piece of contemporary dance music,
“Yep, that all there is of this one.” Mentioned length
of broadcast, off. Voice sounded like Outhouse but no
      ID. Fair–good. (Taylor, WI)
2/18, 1131-1235*, 6925/AM; Nubbin of a carrier appeared on the
      waterfall @1131. @1208, boom—Somebody to Love & 45454.
Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, California Dreamin,’ Sounds of
Silence & Light my fire. All by other than normally asso-
ciated with the music artists. @1235 the carrier disap-
peared mid-song. 10,000 Hz was just right. (45454,
      Hunsicker, PA)
2/18, 1224-1300, 6950/U; BC & music seemed to start @1224 &

COMMENTARIOS

Harold Frodge: It would be really neat if Mix Radio Int’l ran
Crash & Bang music on a frequency that CRI uses. Huzzahs to
whoever is resurrecting stuff from the good old days when
pirate radio was actually entertaining.
