Good Times Radio, 6925 am, 12-26-22, 2247 utc on Barrington Hills IL sdr with poor-weak S7 signal, hear pop music under low noise, equally weak-poor on Brookfield WI and Traverse City MI sdr's, at 2258 song by the band Chicago, at 2300 signal on Brookfield WI sdr improving, nice tunes, thanks. Mostly unusable due to a weak signal—25 dB above the noise and a band of noise on the fringes of the lower sideband that USB did not cure. (Mostly unusable, Hunsicker, PA)

4180 usb, 12-30-22, 0032 UTC on Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S7 to S9 signal and some 60 Hz power line buzz, slow pop tune "free falling", songs are playing at unsteady speed like an old cassette player, at 0042 SSTV/FAX, thanks for the tunes. (Hassig-IL)

6949.6 am, 12-26-22, 0055 on Brookfield WI sdr with fair-poor S7 to S9+ signal, blues music, announcement under noise during fade, at 0122 utc switched to Traverse City MI sdr with better S9+10 to S9+20 signal, at 0123 Capt Morgan ID, distorted audio, various Xmas themed blues tunes, at 0132 non blues "silent night", off at 0152 utc, thanks for the nice tunes. Number of blues and pop-related versions of Christmas songs including “Run Rudolph Run” by Chuck Berry, “Last Christmas” by Rubber Band, and “Happy Christmas Baby” by Cheryl Crow and Eric Clapton. 6940 usb, 12-23-22, 2248 utc on Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S7 to S9 signal, various comedy bits, this might be a recording of VoL from the glory days of pirate radio back in the 1990's, up to S9+10 at 2304 utc, ad for no frills hospital affiliated with funeral home, off at 2310, thanks for the program. 6940 USB Voice of Laryngitis relay, 2343, 12.23.22. Classic V.o.L. show (not Christmas): Era parody. Music was notably distorted. Fake Spanish numbers and commentary about the CIA, long section on the FCC and the horrible death of a pirate operator as a warning to family or friends who might see someone becoming a shortwave pirate, fake ads, etc. Fair signal. 6923.65AM 25 December 2022 2130-2206* Carrier appeared at 2130 and then male vocal. Jimmy Buffett. “Nobody Likes a Fruitcake” song. Announced as the “Christmas Show.” Carrier gone at 2206. Mostly “unusable.” (25342 at its best, Hunsicker, PA)

4185 USB Unidentified, 0115 – 0135, 12.25.22. Brief catch – Woman singing a ballad, “Let it snow” then faded down and out. Poor at best. (Taylor – WI)

6930 USB Unidentified, 0115, 12.25.22. Program fading in and out with frequent on and off. Only heard songs “Eye of the Tiger” and the Blue Swedes version of “Hooked on a feeling”. Finally lost and did not return at 0132. Mostly poor. There was an UnID station logged here twice earlier this year (January and June) with the same “program.” (Taylor – WI)

6925 USB, Dec 25 at 0157, S7/S9 of Santa Clausish ``ho3, Merry Christmas`` in a loop mixed with a wide variety of SFX, baaas, bleats, other animal and bird noises, farts? or fake farts, over & over & over. 0202 also some ute blaapps add to cacophony. Even worse at 0208 but off at 0230 check. The only pirate activity heard on Xmas eve -- unID by me, but reported by no one on HFU! (Glenn Hauser-OK)
