      Your Head & Breakin’ the Law. Gravelly voiced OM from

      Spanish “Radio something” just not clear enough to make
      out an actual word!) @0126 & actual ID as Outhouse @0142
      & another much clearer “Outhouse Radio” ID @0149. Tunes
      such as Super Strut (Deodato) [I haven’t pulled that
      record off the shelf in a long time. I need to!] More
      excited Spanish “ID” that I still couldn’t make out & tx
      by OM @BoH & EE ‘preacher’ gag announcements into (Obri-
      garrd) Xavier 77 Beats & (Beny Moré) Maracaibo Oriental &
      other lively Latin beats stuff. @0137 EE ad for something
      & (Tito Puente) Mambo Gozón. After a brief pause some Easy
      environmental music. @0206 OM Saying “Gotta love QRP” &
      “it gets the job done” & Outhouse ID again into more hard
      rock, this time something I knew (ZZ Top) Dirty Dog &
      (Eric Clapton) The Core. More OM announcements “What a
      Deal, what a Deal” @0218 into more obscure rock stuff &
      more OM tx. 25332 fading in better as I listened, up to
      35443+ by end of monitoring, noticed weak music starting

      to S7 signal, instrumental jazz-rock tune playing.

      6928 USB until I try LSB! Then fake gospel huxter entrea-
      ty; 0134 DJ in Spanish & English, song in Spanish about

      lb tnx to some video program available on Beta & VHS for-
      mats; another frenetic song in Spanish. 0142 says
      myteaquinn knows what station this is; 0144 hi-pitched
      repeating tune like on a fife but eventually morphs into
      a song. 0151 some more of that and weakening to S5. Out-

RADIO 48/MIX RADIO INT’L:

10/8, 2325-2400+, 6880/U; MRI w/Radio 48 (sounded a bit like
      “Radio Free Eight” at times w/pop music & oldies & a real
      mix of stuff & announcements. ID for MRI & R48 (sort of)
      @2327 & a much clearer Radio 48 ID @2340. Another R48 ID
      @2347 & a dual R-48 & MRI ID @2350. Songs included The
      Train Kept A-Rollin’ (Johnny Burnette), The Gallows Song
      (Lead Belly), Super Girl (The Fugs) & a spoken word bit
      pretending to be a broadcast from ‘Station DIM’ operating
      on a clear channel frequency of 300 crap-o-cycles by order
      of the Federal Bullshit Commission” with a story of the
      pioneers, who were ‘real he-men leaving 3 tracks behind
      them’ & other off-color comments. Then more comedy songs
      like The Pioneers & Strawberry Roan & back to more normal
      music like Medication (The Standells) & Mama Will Bark
      (Frank Sinatra) etc. 454+4+4, very wideband as usual for
      them & NICE modulation --Zichi MI
10/8-9, 2346, 6880/6960/U; on Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair
      S9 signal, wide signal on upper sideband and vestigial
      lower sideband, R rated song playing then British tune(?),
      various comedy bits, various urban contemporary tunes,
      jazz-rock tunes, @0116 old 1971 song DOA by Bloodrock
      (you can see & hear it online), @0138 song: convoy by
      C. W. McCall, @0152 ad for NORML (natl org for reform/
      repeal of marijuana laws), @0159 sudden wideband QRM &
      station moved to 6960 @0202, closing down announcement
      but music continued with reggae music, off air @0218.

      PSA. 0105 Radio 48. 0113 & again 0116, double ID for Radio
      48, then Mix Radio Int’l. 0121 sirens SFX & M-R-I-. 0123
      song Dirty Old Boogie. 0126 Radio Free something & M-R-I
      IDs. Then I find another pirate, stay on it for a while.

      denly completely covered by a large swath of noise which
      blanketed 6870-6910 starting right @0158:49. Continuing
      on w/Radio 48 but several IDs & announcements that “This
      Free Radio Station is now closing down”, “thanks for lis-
      tening” & “signing off the airwaves now, this has been
      Radio 48” repeated several times. Despite this continuing
      on with reggae & techno-pop etc w/Mix Radio Int’l IDs
      only--no more Radio 48). Then MRI ID again @0218 & appa-
      rently really off. 4+54+4+4+ --Zichi MI
10/9, 0203-0218*, 6960/U; Reggae music.  ID @0217. 10500 Hz

SYCKO RADIO:

10/8, 0331-0503, 6925/U; A bit better than just usable, but
      faded to faint music & voice after about 0436. The Final
      Countdown, Paradise City & a good bit of chatter by the
      operator, including about his transmitter. IDs @0333,
      0342, 0400, 0406, 0412. Sounded best at 3000 Hz. (25352,

10/13, 0027-0225*, 6926/U; “Radio Madness” tonight with creepy
      music & odd songs—all for the season. Many IDs & much
      music. IDs, including a QR code, in SSTV @0153, 0204,
      0217 & 0221. None of the QR codes was usable although Mr.
      Sycko appeared to change modes to try to enhance the

10/13, 0039, 6926/U; playing Halloween music much sound effects
      & talk between songs. Music included The Monster Hop,
      Shout out to HF Underground folks who logged him. ‘Sycko
      Radio...Banging out the Halloween music for ya.’ Good

10/8, 0232-0310*, 6935/U; Long guitar & voice sets. 3200 Hz

10/10, 0004, 6960/U; Playing Beatles with short comments &
      periodic ID’s between songs.  A few dog howls during

WJAN:

10/8, 0216-0231, 6950/U; Calypso music? Dirty Water, It’s All
      Too Beautiful, Judy in Disguise, Signal filled 3000 Hz

10/8, 0304...0314*, 6950/U; Responding to reports that WJAN
      didn’t sound good, the operator did several short broad-
      casts to adjust & ask listeners to comment on the changes
      made. In the first, Bad Moon Rising was played; in the

WTF RADIO WORLDWIDE:

10/14, 2243-2248+, 6925/U; “WTF Radio Worldwide...on the east
       coast of North America”; weird tunes including the
       Lollypop tune @2246:16. SIO=3+54; Bram Stoker posted
       on the Free Radio Net (Frodge-MI)

YEAH MAN RADIO:

10/8, 2143, 6925/AM; on Ottawa Ontario sdr with weak S7 signal,
      song from the 1960's including elusive butterfly & a song
      by Dusty Springfield, announcement like old top 40 radio
      then old song groovy kind of love, sounds like Cher bang
      bang he shot me down. (Hassig-IL)

10/8-9, 2325-0003:30*, 6932/U “Mushroom Head Radio” playing
      tunes & taking requests & rambling with gems like: “Mr
      Rogers isn’t here, no mister nice guy” & calling himself
      “Doctor Zeke”& ranting about Putin & the Russian Wood-
      pecker etc. MHR ID @2330. Played stuff like Hold on (We
      Hunt Buffalo) & Solitaire/Unraveling (Mushroomhead)
      among other (bad) & obscure stuff. About the only NON-
      obscure song played was Werewolves of London (Warren

10/12, 2341-2359+, 4124/U; Pop ditty to 2148+ Zeeky commenting
      about female vocalists, balls & dicks, men with pot bel-
      lies, transmitters, bon fires, propagation & lingerie
