The Free Radio Weekly (FRW) is an internet newsletter devoted to the hobby of listening to free radio "pirate" broadcasters in the shortwave radio bands. The FRW is produced by the free radio community and distributed to those who contribute.
The weekly deadline is Saturdays at 0000 UTC (Friday night in North America). Please send your logs to all the editors, as our editing schedule is subject to last minute changes. Thank you for your inpoots!

9/10, 0108, 6960am. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S9 to S9+10 signal, hear song "sugar in the morning", at 0120 "candy girl", sugar and sweetness theme, SSTV/FAX after song "lollipop" then announcement then IS then off. Thanks for the excellent program. (Hassig-IL)

9/10, 2353, 6820am. Gypsy Eyes by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. ID at 2355, into Foxey Lady. Very good signal, s15/s20. (Will-MD)
9/11, 0045, 6820am. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with poor noisy S5 to S9 signal, hear various Jimi Hendrix tunes, tried other sdr's but they're worse, off air at 0101utc, thanks for the program. (Hassig-IL)
** Redline Radio
9/11, 1231-1401, 6925am. Signed-on @ 1231 and signed-off between 1401 and 1405. 6600 Hz bandwidth, but QRN ruined USB, so changed from AM to LSB to avoid the noise. Lotsa music. IDs @ 1240 and 1302. (45443 when in LSB, Hunsicker, PA)
** Sycko Radio
9/12, 0045, 6930usb. Hard rock, some DJ? talkovers unreadable; 0125 quick ID as Radio --something, back to music. Many logs here as Sycko Radio, not exactly at 0125 tho: [www].hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,101816.0.html BTW at 0051 a noise burst of about 10 seconds, probably RF auto-ignition of my nearest streetlight circa sunset which was at 0045; but not confirmed at visible wavelengths -- i.e. I did not hasten to look out a window (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

9/11, 0040, 4185usb. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with poor/fair S5 to S7 signal, hear electric guitar with singing unid tune, slowly fading in and out, switched to Peoria IL sdr with fair S7 to S9 signal, at 0100 heard SSTV/FAX then electric guitar instrumentals and some vocals. (Hassig-IL)
9/11, 0109-0143, 4185usb. About 20 dB over the noise. SSTV @ 0137 in Martin 1 and ID @ 0139. (35343, Hunsicker, PA)
9/11, 1138-1227*, 6925usb. SSTV @ 1157. Look on the Bright Side, C&W, and Blues. (25442--a high 2, but definitely a 2, Hunsicker, PA)

9/11, 1320-1334:40*, 6950.5am. Mostly just a carrier visible on the waterfall with occasional faint music. (Unusable, Hunsicker, PA)
