WWWW the Drunken Fox

6925 USB WWWW, 0208, 9.2.22. Indistinct talk and songs by groups including Led Zeppelin & Heart. (I was out of room 0208 – 0305 and came back to a much better signal: guitar rock, 0310 ID "Don't just listen to the track, think", 2 clear ID’s between songs of several genres including disco, pop and guitar rock. (Taylor – WI.)

WWWW the Drunken Fox 6925USB 2 September 2022 0223-0326* Old rock: Magic Man, Blinded by the Light, and others. 3000 Hz fit well. At sign-off, OM promised to be back tomorrow. 35454 ONLY if one ignores the badly distorted voice of the operator. (35454, Hunsicker, PA)

Underdog

6935 USB Underdog, 0042, 9.3.22. Program of country music including John Pryne, Uncle Lucius, Colter Wall. Whole “Underdog” theme played several times. SSTVs included Underdog with 2 bad guys flying away with Underdog’s implied punching strength & Sweet Polly at bottom "Underdog is here!"; Little boy praying at bedside with dog with front paws on bed – cute; Boy with headphones and man looking on "You complain because you want it to end, but it's because of your compliance that it will never end."; Underdog flying & carrying Sweet Polly Pureblood just before going off at 0125. Good.

Ballsmacker Radio

6960 AM Ballsmacker Radio, 0128, 9.3.22. ID, "Gentle on my mind" - Glen Campbell, ID with characteristic bowling pin drop, "Free your Mind" - In Vogue into a program of "mind" themed songs with many ID's and QSL offers. Very good. – 0018 - ~ 0145. Repeat of last night’s program with many ID’s. I was quite distracted with other listening as well as other things, so did not listen closely. Periodically checked in and out of the program. However, noted that someone was on and off 6960 USB at checks 0112, 0119, 0123, and 0136 when the USB signal moved to 6961 USB. That signal was overpowered by Ballsmacker here, so was very unpleasant to listen to. Since it seemed to be an intentional attempt at jamming I was not interested in more than noting it was present.

Ball Smacker Radio, 6960am, 9-4-22, 0033utc on Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair/poor S9 to S9+10 signal, pop/rock tunes I can't ID, was co-channel with Wolverine until Wolverine moved to 6950usb at 0018utc, at 0036 Willie Nelson "you were always on my mind". (Hassig-IL)

Wolverine Radio

6950 USB Wolverine, 0017, 9.4.22. Started out on 6960 USB until Ballsmacker started on 6960 LSB. BTW a bit of co channel QRM from Ballsmacker Radio in AM, at 0018 Mr. Wolverine said moving to 6950 due to QRM, "Mustang Sally" at 0038 then "Carrie Ann", at 0139utc echo ID then SSTV/FAX. (Hassig-IL)
