8/20, 0059, 6960am. "Wildfire" IS, synth YL w/ ID and bowling ball pins falling sfx., "Holding out for a hero" - Bonnie Tyler, ID, missed title of song, ID, "I won't hold you back" into a program of "hold" themed songs. (Taylor-WI)

8/20, 0127, 6960am. Soft rock S9/+10 but undermod compared to 6933 USB station; then, "I wanna hold your hand". 0129 SFX and Ballsmacker Radio ID: still on a reliable Friday night schedule? Many more logs here:
[www].hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,100854.0.html Seems the keyword for song titles was "hold" (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

8/20, 0200, 6960am. On Brookfield WI sdr with fair S9 to S9+20 signal, nice soft pop/rock music, nice selection of tunes with the word "hold" in them, at 0243 bowling ball sound then SSTV/FAX, sign off announcement, piano IS then off at 0246. Thanks for the nice tunes. (Hassig-IL)

** Clever Name Radio

8/20, 2311, 6917usb. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S7 signal, rock music. (Hassig_IL)

8/20, 2339, 6917usb. Clever Name Radio per hfu posts. Music, Led Zeppelin, Since I've Been Loving You. Good signal, s7/s9 peaks. Still going at 0009 check, solid s9.

8/22, 0124, 6920am. Rock music, S9/+20 much stronger than 6926 USB simulstation. Switching back and forth to that, so bound to miss something. 0126, 6920 off. 0129 some spoken comments with music, maybe DJ, not IDs; until: 0136 YL bot voice seems to be reading a current HFU reception report to Clever Name Radio, mentioning 6917, 6920. Apparently this be CNR per many reports: [www].hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,100958.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** Man Cave Radio

8/25, 2358, 6931.8am. Music, Lenny Kravitz, Are You Gonna Go My Way; Man Cave Radio ID at 0002; music, Daft Punk, Get Lucky; ID at 0004 with "you have entered the man cave"; 0011 Jerry Reed, Lord Mr. Ford; 0014, Beatles, Drive My Car; 0016, ZZ Top, Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers. 0019, Schlitz beer commercial, and into AC/DC, Shoot To Thrill. Stag Beer commercial at 0023. 0024, Jerry Reed, East Bound and Down. 0026, ZZ Top, Gimme All Your Lovin. 0032, Jerry Reed, She Got the Goldmine, I Got the Shaft. Off at 0039. 40 dBu on the Tecsun, solid s9 on the Icom, good/very good. (Will-MD)

** Mix Radio International

8/18, 0041, 6870usb. Contemporary dance music; checking off and on; 0119 ID into Motown. Still going at 0400 w/ ID when I stopped for the evening. Fair to good. (Taylor-WI)

8/19, 0035, 6870usb. On Barrington Hils IL sdr with fair but noisy wideband S9 signal, soft pop/rock music, ID by woman, switched to Brookfield WI sdr with S9 to S9+15 signal, song "love jones" sung by a young Michael Jackson(?). (Hassig-IL)

8/20, 0034-0036+, 6870usb. Disco ditties; female, lady woman ID @0035+. SIO=4+54 (Frodge-MI)

8/20, 0050, 6870usb. Romantic music (went off briefly twice), 1152 quick ID, "Shame" - Evelyn "Champagne" King, Edward Hayes ID'ed as DJ "for Mix Radio International", "In the midnight hour" - Wilson Pickett. Still going at 0300 when I stopped for the night. Fair to good. (Taylor-WI)

8/20, 2315, 6872usb. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with fair S7 to S9 signal, soft pop/rock music, wideband signal with vestigial lower sideband, I'm using the IQ setting which accepts wide signal, at 2355 increased to S9+10, at 0120 utc came back after Wolverine left air, tuned in on Brookfield WI sdr with S9+10 signal, early Dylan rap tune, at 0124 Innagadadavida but not the original and only lasted 2 or 3 min, at 0145 late 1950's comedy song "please mister Custer", since then over an hour of smooth jazz, nice program, thanks. BTW, switched back to Barington Hills IL sdr because Brookfield WI sdr suddenly stopped working. (Hassig-IL)

8/20, 2330, 6872usb. Mix Radio International with a rock music mix. s7/s9, very good. (Will-MD)

8/21, 0157-0234, 6872usb. Bandwidth was 10,000Hz. Mostly instrumental music. After 0228 it became unusable due to a weak signal. (45444, Hunsicker, PA)

8/21, 0226-0233+, 6872usb. Pop & EZL music. ID per cosmikdebris post on the Free Radio Net; none heard. SIO=454 (Frodge-MI)

** Thunder Chicken Radio

8/19, 0007, 6933usb. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with S9 to S9+10 signal, rock guitar solo then rock tune with singing, slightly distorted audio, applause after each selection like a live concert, I only hear the guitar and singing, who is this guy? He's good. At about 0024 DJ jumped in to say he was playing Monte Montgomery recorded in a live concert. I looked up Monte Montgomery on line and you can hear some but not all of his music, correct spelling is Monte not Monty. (Hassig-IL)

8/20, 0032, 6932usb. Series of jazz vocals (UnId at the time but later found to be by Monte Montgomery) - live recordings, 2 SSTVs ("Thunder Chicken" with portrait, Thunder Chicken with assault rifle), waterfall image second SSTV, tones, more of the concert. vocal ID with thunder, switched to AM briefly then back to USB, SSTV (Thunder Chicken w/ assault rifle again), radio morning show promo, long live piece, "You're listening to Thunder Chicken Radio", 0143 off. Good, although loosing strength just as it was going off. (Taylor-WI)

8/20, 0126, 6933usb. Heavy jazz/guitar S9, 0128 ID overdone that I can`t understand, "--- Radio", more past 0136. These say it`s Thunder Chicken Radio, at 2341 moved up from 6930 USB as in previous report: [www].hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,100843.0.html Never heard any SSTV beepery while I was retuned (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

8/22, 0000-0038, 6915usb. Blues from what sounded like a concert. SSTV @ 0024. Best at 2800Hz. but because of a station on 6917, I narrowed the bandwidth to 2200 to clear some of the QRM. (25342, Hunsicker, PA)

** Unid

8/18, 0048, 6970usb. 0049 - Roaring tones, 0053 recording - OM said something however I was not on frequency to understand, signal hard to tune. Different roar, perhaps some music under … talk by OM incuding "f#^*ing white man" … music . Looking closely, there is a signal with music on 6925.0 and a second roaring signal on 6926 which moves closer and back to 6926 periodically. Stopped listening after about 15 minutes fatigued by the noise. Poor to very poor. (Taylor-WI)

8/18, 0134, 6925usb. Talk and brief music, 0134 music, OM talk, YL singing acapella OM few sentences ending with "Hey, hey hey", bits of music, brass band, OM talk, - all JBA; 0140 comes up with "Magic cards" ad, haughty YL w/ instructions of some sort, theme like instrumental, fade out. 0143 YL monologue, bit of music, SSTV (vague figures - poor decode), OM w/ start of program "... defender of truth and justice" fade or pause, music w/ howling (?), OM w/ many mentions of radio, other foolishness ... (SSTV (very poor decode - drawing of man with big nose, baseball hat, worker's clothes?), off. Poor. (Taylor-WI)

8/18, 0304, 6916usb. "Lithium" - Nirvana, about 1 minute of dead air with occasional indistinct sound, "Battery" – Metallica; brief rant "wake up" … YL unclear dialog … 2 OMs on the phone "How are you.” (other) “Hello" repeated several times; "Godzilla" - Blue Oyster Cult, tones, "Warning! This is an arrest. ..." dialog; "I won't back down" - Tom Petty; dialog; "Mary Jane's Last Dance" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, YL couple of words ... dialog, etc. Poor – fair. (Taylor-WI)

8/18, 2341, 6925usb. Tuned in at 2341 utc on Normal IL sdr with weak noisy S7 signal, esoteric instrumental music playing, at 2343 wolf howling and Michael Jackson "thriller" which stands out even with poor reception, at 2349 "oh little town of Bethlehem" sung by children with piano. (Hassig-IL)

8/19, 0123, 6925usb. OM incomprehensible mumbling, "Ring of Fire" - Johnny Cash, "Space Oddity" - David Bowie, OM mumbling more, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" - Charlie Daniels Band; mumble, mumble, "Radio" repeated twice; "We built this City" – Starship; mumble, mumble, “Radio” ID again; start of a song, then off. Signal was fair. Frustrating when the op makes it intentionally difficult to ID the station through to the end. (Taylor-WI)

8/19, 2317, 6930usb. Howling and laughing, audience reaxion to someguy speaking about ticket prices, vs heavy storm noise level adding up to S3/S7. Three more as unID here: [www].hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,100843.0.html as of 2329, maybe more IDed later? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

8/20, 0020-0033+, 6974.89am. EZL/ethereal music. SINPO=43443 w/occ’l scratchy QRM. Another music & no ID station (Frodge-MI)

8/20, 0048, 6975am. On Barrington Hills IL sdr with poor noisy S9 to S9+10 signal, hear pop/rock under the mud. (Hassig-IL)

8/21, 0216-0225+, 6925usb. Classic rock; no ID offered, SINPO= 3+33-43+ w/hiss QRM (Frodge-MI)

8/21, 0233-03244:45*, 6935usb. LL vocal; 0238 crow caws? followed by spooky vocal in LL; SSTV & off; no voice ID offered. SIO=453+ w/scratchy audio (Frodge-MI)

8/21, 2232-2240+, 6915usb. Electro-pop music w/some talkovers. SIO=454- w/squealy audio till about 2238 when dropped way down to barely audible. (Frodge-MI)

8/22, 0019-0138, 6917.1/6920usb. Moved from 6917.1 to 6920 at 0029. Old Rock. Repeated calls by a YL for listeners to request songs. 3000Hz a good fit. (35554, Hunsicker, PA)

8/22, 0232-0237+, 6950usb. Bluesy ditties; 0240:05 titter burst then SSTV & more music @0241:38; no voice ID. SIO=3+53 (Frodge-MI)

8/25, 0249-0320, 6930usb. Odd rock music; digiscreech--not SSTV @0253+ & 0305; spoken bit! @0255 & again @0310, something about The Banana King. SIO=2+43 till about 0310 then dropped down some; w/warble burst QRMl 0320+ disappeared (Frodge-MI)

8/25, 2208, 6915usb. Metal/hairband music, Iron Maiden? Tinny slopbucket sound. 30 dBu on the Tecsun, fair/good. (Will-MD)

8/22, 0122, 6926usb. Undermod pirate with song, S5/S8 vs HSNL, long pause past 0124, off? Meanwhile, switching back and forth to 6920 station, so bound to miss something. 0155 on with "Shut the #uck up" song. Mostly unID, but one report as ID: "WWWW The Drunk Fox?"
