RS PRO-2006 deja vu

I recently re-acquired a RatCrap PRO-2006 400-memory analog scanner which, admittedly, is of somewhat limited value these days. I vacuumed the dust bunnies from inside and cleaned the pots, and am in the process of cleaning some of the grunge off the outside of the case.

Unfortunately, it does exhibit the standard weak back light panel for the display: "bright" is dim and "dim" is OFF.

As I recall these panels were getting scarce as hen's teeth when I last had one of these things, but I have to ask: Does anyone know of a source for such a back light or a reasonable substitute? I don't much care if it's the original item (a few LEDs should work), as long as it illuminates the readout.
