WKYI spur

I guess we'll call this "medium wave". Chris Smolinski posted in HFU awhile back about him hearing in Maryland what sounded like a spur of WKYI, 1600, Eminence, Kentucky. My girlfriend lives about 5 miles from their transmitter site. The weather finally broke long enough for me to get over there, and I can verify the spur is coming from the Eminence site. Seems to be around 1735-1740 KHz. You have a better chance of hearing the spur than the actual station on 1600 :-). Hurry before somebody fixes the problem :-). Format is "southern rock", and they mostly mention their translator on 94.1. They mention "Louisville" as they are trying to be part of the Louisville market. The 1600 transmitter is "daytime only" but seems to be on from 6 AM EST to about 8:15 PM EST.
