Newport Pirate Radio 87.9 FM 1400+ UTC 11 May 2018

1400- obscure Doors tune, mellow rock music by an unknown OM singer. Fair reception at best with signal fading in and out at times.

I took a ride with my Dad this morning to pick up some fencing and garden supplies in North Kingstown. Tuned the truck radio to 87.9 and heard NPR in the Wickford/North Kingstown area of Rhode Island direct for the first time! I haven’t had any luck hearing them at my home QTH in Warwick despite several attempts. This is only my second reception of an FM pirate station, pretty cool!
