Killing Joke Tribute 6980-6975 23:18-00:34 SIO 2-3
Ah, so that's what it is Locomotive Radio, got a fade on every ID and couldn't get it!
23:18 Tune in to Industrial style dance music, sounded like lyrics are "Take me".
23:20 Robot voice, recognizing the life of guitarist from Killing Joke. Into song, assuming it's Killing Joke, but I don't know much about the band.
23:14 New song started
23:16 Signal seemed to fade out over about ten seconds and carrier is gone..
23:17 Station started back up on 6975, with voice mentioning Killing Joke, into song. Signal peaks to S9.
23:24 Bass and drum intro to song.
23:30 Voice recognizing guitarist of Killing Joke, "He died on November 27, 2023 from a major stroke." The station's name might have been said at the beginning of the paragraph, but I haven't caught it yet. Into song that's more upbeat that previous songs.
23:38 SSTV.
23:42 '? Radio Loves you.' Into song with Possibly President Reagan samples.
23:48 Song with driving, percussive guitar.
23:?? Get ready for an SSTV, HF Underground, get 'em ready, live voice. Wow, slow, 'Scottie DX' it says, sounds like squeaks from a magic marker, or several species of small furry animals. A Gibson guitar is appearing, The beat of the SSTV on white is like a metronome set for Waltz.
23:57 ID robot with mention of HF Underground again. Can't hear station name. Into tune.
00:03 Song starting with strings, then rocks hard
00:08 Hard guitar starts, cuts off, changed to a quiet intro.
00:14 '..Thank you to HF Underground members for your logging' Song, lots of fading here.
00:22 Slow SSTV again, the preamble was so weak in a fade that it didn't decode in the Kiwi, but here is MMSSTV.
00:26 ID, tribute, Song.
00:34 Tuned out

Nice to hear a station do a tribute to a band, maybe someone is so moved to go on the air because an artist died, seems like something pirate radio was made for. I look and see that Killing Joke has had many albums put out since 1979.
Station sounded like it had good frequency response, good bass and out to 5 khz on the high end.
