Listening to 1620 AM friday night, it would have been around 9 pm local time I'd guess, on the 18th UTC, I heard some oldies being played, classic pop of the 1970s. It stuck out as something not normally heard on 1620, and I listened for a bit, 5 songs maybe, heard no IDs, promos or ads, but it was fading in and out over time.
I recorded a bit of it to hope for an ID, but heard nothing. Later I was writing to someone about it, and it made me think how I'd heard a similar music list from a station on 1720 I think, last month, seemed like it could be the same songs, so I went back to the tape I'd recorded, and noticed there's a certain kind of deep bass it has, different than regular AM stations.
Here's my recording, and if you listen right at the 4:00 mark, Witchy Woman ends and right before Summer Breeze begins there's what sounds like it could be a howl, could it be, WDOG? I notice they were heard later above 1700.
