I want to decode more of those digital modes like FT8, and do some higher frequency VHF/UHF scanning. My Kiwi only does 0-30 Mhz HF and not all of the digital modes.
I just got a RTL-SDR Blog version 4 SDR USB stick with 'SDR#' (Sharp), which is the SDR program software, very easy to install on Windows 7, following the website instructions exactly, installing the correct drivers..
With the wide band that the Blog SDR covers, I have to be able to switch antennas in and out. It could make a great emergency radio with a laptop computer.
