Hard rock with some Doors (50th anniversary of Jim Morrison’s death), SSTV (cartoon, startled cat “WTF is this … WTF is that,” OM announcer “God Dammit Leeroy”); Easy pal (missed it,) waterfall image (outhouse with Radio tower out the chimney “Outhouse Radio,”) off. 6930 PIRATE (No. Am.) Outhouse Radio, 0025, 7/10/21. Tuned into the end of an SSTV, atmospheric music – poor signal until sudden increase to fair at 0040 with guitar rock, SSTV (2 eyes in B&W), more similar music, SSTV (“Found my spirit plant” with a cactus giving the finger “Outhouse Radio,”) off. Outhouse Radio(?), 6930usb, 7-10-21, 0018utc on Barrington Hills IL sdr and at 0019utc on Normal IL sdr, very weak at S5 noise level on both, barely hear blues music, at 0024utc CW ID(?), at 0029utc SSTV/FAX. (Hassig-IL)



KAT – Eye of the Kat

6925 PIRATE (No. Am.) KAT – Eye of the Kat, 0040, 7/10/21. Hard rock into a variety of rock with Zeeky talking about whatever was on his mind at the moment, giving an ID and “Eye of the Kat” slogan into a program of various music he picked and rambling talk between songs with periodic ID’s. Poor – fair. (Taylor – WI)

6925USB, Eye of the Kat, 0036 - 0155 10 July DJ Zeeky did a nice show of new and old rock/popular artists. Heard Stone Temple Pilots, Third Day, Natasha Bedingfield, Rush, Dire Straits. Said he brought a bunch of music CDs from the local library. Good show, I enjoyed it. Good (Majewski CT)

KAT, 6925usb, 7-10-21, 0038utc on both Normal IL sdr (S9) and Barrington Hills IL sdr (S7), fair signal on both, hear pop tune sung by woman then rock tune sung by male, at 0045utc sounds like rock tune played with accordions (Weird Al Yankovic?), at 0124 song "sultans of swing", BTW, there was another KAT back in the 2nd half of the 1990's which broadcast with 200 watts AM from near Madison Wisconsin, I was there for all 3 broadcasts. WDDR - Drunken DJ Radio

6950 USB PIRATE (No. Am.) WDDR - Drunken DJ Radio, 0140, 7/5/21. “White room” into a program of various rock songs some familiar and some not with Drunken DJ talking between songs, giving ID’s and shout outs to folks logging him on HF Underground. Fair. (Taylor – WI)



Radio Genix

6950 USB PIRATE (No. Am.) Radio Genix, 0140, 7/6/21. Attempted to listen to a barely audible signal at 0046 then gave up with serious storm QRN. Tried again at 0140 with contemporary instrumental music, ID shortly after t/in then into similar genre music, 0152 clear ID and gmail address, instrumental music (familiar), “Electric Avenue.” Poor to fair with significant QRN from a big electric storm Northeast of my location. Radio Genix, 6950usb, 7-10-21, 2140 on Normal IL sdr, weak signal S7 peaks above S5 noise level, occasional bits of instrumental music, tried Barrington Hills IL sdr and even weaker there. (Hassig-IL)



Ballsmacker Radio

6960 AM PIRATE (No. Am.) Ballsmacker Radio, 0058, 7/10/21. On with familiar piano IS, 0100 ID with bowling pins dropping Sfx into “Who’ll stop the rain” and a program of pop music with frequent ID’s. Fair. (Taylor – WI)

Ball Smacker Radio, 6960am, 7-10-21, 0128utc on both Normal IL sdr and Barrington Hills IL sdr, S9 signal with light noise on both, hear old rock tune, at 0130 oldie "bus stop" by the Hollies from 1966. (Hassig-IL)

7/10, 0100, 6960am. Music, Games People Play by The Spinners, ID "This is the Ball Smacker 6960 AM." Very good signal. (Will-MD)



Nowhere Radio

6975 AM PIRATE (No. Am.) Nowhere Radio, 0058, 7/6/21. Contemporary light instrumental music, indistinct talk and sounds until at 0117 a clear ID into similar music. Mostly poor with occasional fair peaks. (Taylor – WI)

7/16, 0045, 6974.9am. Radio Nowhere (presumed, no ID heard). Hard rock music, and mellow rock at 0048. Still going with mellow music at 0209. Very good signal, s9. Faded down to s7 by 0218. (Will-MD)



Mix Radio International

12065 USB PIRATE (No. Am.) Mix Radio International, 0154, 7/10/21. Light contemporary music, 0158 synth woman’s voice ID over music, another similar song then 0202 into a relay of Cool AM Radio (European produced program) with co-produced ID’s. Still going at 0300 check. Fair. (Taylor – WI)

6868 AM WDOG, 0102 - 0200 11 July. Nice show of classic rock, George Harrison Awaiting on all of you, Rolling Stones, Hollies, Doors, Yes, Led Zeppelin. Signal got better with time. Fair/Good (Majewski CT)

6974.9 PIRATE (No. Am.) Unidentified, 0058, 7/10/21. Familiar station playing atmospheric electronic music. Sometimes identifies as Nowhere Radio, however not tonight that I heard. Fair. (Taylor – WI)

7/9, 2302, 6985am. Music, fair signal. At 2345, signal much improved, music by The Cars, Good Times Roll. 2347, ID, "The Vault" and into music by Peter Gabriel. 2353, ID, "This is the Vault." 2355, Steely Dan, Home at Last. 0000, another ID and into Devil Woman by Cliff Richard. 26 dBu, very good, superior AM sound. 6985 AM, The Vault, 2332 - 2328 9 July Played an old Beatles tune with a male announcer, Good carrier but low audio. Poor (Majewski CT)

6985 AM, The Vault, 0011-0014 11 July played a Prince Song, 1999 and then off. Audio was good for this broadcast. Fair/Poor (Majewski CT)
