Nice big, HiFi AM signal into WNY with all sorts of pop music extended tracks, including Hall & Oates. No ID heard so far. Sounds good but an ID would be nice, too. S9+ on the Pro3. Still going strong (but now with some QSB) at 2330Z with some outrageously good mash-ups. Off 0000Z after light guitar and howling cat. No ID ever given. Very interesting program!by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Hillbillie music and "ad" for Leave It To Beulah. An ID given by very deep voiced OM - so deep I couldn't make it out. VG sig into WNY - almost S9! YL with ID at :44 as White Rider Radio. On and off with an instrumental version of "Dixie"by jtart - Free Radio Logs
I once got a seatbelt as a QSL from The Car Show... Pretty hard to put that in a binder!by jtart - QSLs
Fair signal peaking to good. Playing electronica. No IDs or anmts yet. Music ended 2356 and off after brief CW.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Tuned in to film documentary about the Nazi takeover of Poland and France, which ended just prior to the top of the hour. That was followed by a minute or two of silence, then back with brass band music until 0020. No ID or anmts heard. Quite decent signal into WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
I've checked 25 MHz several times since I first saw this - and have heard zilch! The higher frequencies are dead, Jim... Next time I hear something on 11m I'll try WWV again, but even CB has been dead lately.by jtart - General radio discussion
Decent enough article, but it again shows that the FCC isn't aware of the true problem; they're working on band-aid approaches like translators, which will only crowd even more stations into the FM band and won't solve the problem. The "industry" really needs to work on producing some programming that the listeners will want to listen to. They refuse to do so because it will cost theby jtart - General radio discussion
Some great blues harp but no ID; good sig into WNY. Also a weaker station on 6925U, just above the noise level. 6940 turned out to be CoolAM, giving an ID at 2327Z and several more later. Never did ID the 6925 station.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
About 5 db over S9 into WNY at the moment; playing bits of Jumping Jack Flash, Honky-Tonk Woman, and other music.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Seriously overdriven AM signal with YL talking over music. Pretty much unreadable. Now 2348Z maybe Ken Nordine bit but really can't tell.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
On with tinny and muffled ancr, then some music and into Led Zepplin II. Started L&C but quickly dropped into the noise.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Fair signal into WNY with Pink Floyd and gone without announcement. Allegedly it was Moonlight Radio (per another site).by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Music and frequent IDs by M ancr (Mister Peaches) as WGAY. Gave email of <sissyboyradio@gmail.com>. S9 signal into WNY. ID at 2358 "Finally, a radio station for the rest of us: WGAY".by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Weak to fair in summer QRN. Techno/dance/trance music and occasional SSTV (as at 2349Z). No voice heard as of yet. Off about 2357Z without any voice announcements.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Very weak signal (just above the noise threshold) into WNY playing pop music. There was some talk but I couldn't make it out. Occasional CW - probably ID. Condx are not so great these days!by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Friday's mail brought a nice full data card from K2ORS for the WI2XJP experimental xmsns on 6951. Took about a month.by jtart - QSLs
Heard a RTTY message repeating on a 90 second cycle. Couldn't decode the message here but another forum reports it's WI2XJP - an experimental station in Massachusetts. Finally faded out a while ago.by jtart - Other logs
At :45 playing Stones "Miss You", then into Beatles mashup. Fair to good in T-storm QRN. AM modulation a bit overdriven. Occasional talk (ID?) over music but unintelligible. Off about 0207Z.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Old rock including Thunderclap Newman "Something in the Air", and "Bell Bottom Blues". Fair to good signal into WNY with some QSB. Apparently this was actually Hot Radio. Certainly sounded like Cool AM! ;)by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Heard in WNY with a strong signal and a series of old songs about rock and rocking. Otherwise a kinda noisy night.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
They were quite strong here until about 0125Z, then the signal dropped waayyy down almost into the noise. Lotsa chatter about being drunk and mentioned a request for Black Oak Arkansas that they couldn't relocate on HFU.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
On at 1900Z with a Peter Rabbit song and what sounds like a children's radio show. At 04 song "Easter Bonnet" began and signal lost. Quite weak into WNY in T-storm QRN, about S1. Back on at :13 with the complete show - a story about Hunny Bunny, featuring Peter Rabbit and Farmer Brown. :17 song "Easter Bonnet", then at :19 song "Do Your Ears Hang Low" and off aby jtart - Free Radio Logs
Came on with repeated IDs and into strange music. Only S3 to S4 but quite clear into WNY. As usual, the first half-hour featured a female giving the IDs while the second half-hour was a male.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Fair to poor and fadey signal into WNY with old hit music including Steam's "Na Na Hey Hey Tell Him Goodbye", "One Toke Over the Line", and such. Haven't heard any anmts yet but probably couldn't make 'em out if I did. Occasional signal improvement but just as quickly another fadeout.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
They're in there - whenever WWV isn't making noise. A bit of data burst, some CW, a burst of music, and five beeps leading up to a quiet second and the big beep for the minute. No trace of PPE today. I think this is only the second time I've heard 'em on 10 MHz.by jtart - Other logs
Something playing Grateful Dead at the moment. No ID heard yet. Noisy here tonight.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
It's an old recording of WNBC - 660, NYC, when they were rock. Frequency 6925.88 USB. S4 to S5 into WNY.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
Booming into WNY with a great AM signal. Parody ads, Star Trek parody, frequent IDs. Possibly the best I've ever heard them! Abrupt signal dive (or gone) about 2235Z. Xmtr failure? (Hope not!) Nope, they're still in there. Off 2240 after the "Why do you do this to your father and me?" bit.by jtart - Free Radio Logs
I checked in my outdated (2011) WRTH and found that the Honduras transmitters are listed. 5010 kHz is shown as 1kW with a sked of 1200 to 0500 UTC but is marked inactive, while 3340 kHz shows no info at all. OTOH, the website <short-wave.info> lists 3340 as 24hpd with 1kW and 5010 active 1200-0500Z. I don't recall seeing any reports of either of them, but..?by jtart - General radio discussion
On again with a much weaker signal. Apparently they only operate on April Fools Day...by jtart - Free Radio Logs
