Cool, I was wondering if anyone else heard them. With the gaps, it sounded like a '70s Gold' CD being played. I wondered if there were IDs, and if I just couldn't hear them with the constant voice on Cuba. I never really lost the signal, and didn't hear propagation effects on it.
I'm listening on a computer sound system with a subwoofer and that station can really make it boom, so it seems lik

Yeah sure, you can use any of my posts there if they fit the format.
I heard no ID, but it's an educated guess that the station was a pirate, everything seems to point to it. It's a mystery station, but that bass EQ is unique, I know I've heard a station like that before on mediumwave.

Yes, I saw their QSL via SSTV on a later show and it said Sycko as I remember. There are Forums that are called Phorums, but I still don't know how 'Zeeky' is spelled.. :)

Listening to 1620 AM friday night, it would have been around 9 pm local time I'd guess, on the 18th UTC, I heard some oldies being played, classic pop of the 1970s. It stuck out as something not normally heard on 1620, and I listened for a bit, 5 songs maybe, heard no IDs, promos or ads, but it was fading in and out over time.
I recorded a bit of it to hope for an ID, but heard nothing. Later

Thanks.
Here's my rationale on SIO. When I'd write a log to a station, I'd use a SINPO rating, but now I guess to abbreviate it for the net, SIO is being used.
My thought was to collapse Interference and Noise together as just Interference, leading to a lower I number, even if there are no interfering stations.
I don't know, is there a shortwave listener's guide that DXers follow?

That's an amazing number of stations, I had no idea! No wonder he's pretty decent on the mic, he has a lot of experience, hi hi.
I knew Zeeky might have been on a lot, seeing that name pop up regularly. Cross and Boner Radio, Momma Groundhog International, great station names, and thanks for doing the job of writing those out.
Broadcasting like that should keep people off of your tail.

The interference is just noise, hiss level, as the signal is S2-3 most of the time. Other interference is so low that hear it well, except for the occasional sounder tweeting by and I've heard some radar, but way low interference.
