This biggest question that everyone has about the Titus II is whether it can demodulate single side-band (SSB) signals. From what I've read, no. However, I suspect that an APP for that function could be written and employed to do so. When set to receive AM mode, an APP can engage a low level RF signal via a VFO, or BFO (Variable Frequency Oscillator, or Beat Frequency Oscillator), thus demodulating a received SSB signal. This would be a very popular feature, since AM only receivers are only able to take advantage of part of the shortwave action. The equivalent would be to have an AM radio with an external low level RF signal injected to the receive frequency to demodulate SSB signals. Crude and touchy, but works.
