unID - 1590, 04/04, 1740+

Suspect WGGO, Salamanca, but...

AoR (Steely Dan, Jethro Tull, Genesis) with "98 Rock" IDs. Got the FM callsign confirmed: WQRS. Therein lies the "but"; WGGO's FM callsign is WQRT, so did they also change calls? I'm soooo confused...

I'm still listening at 1809Z and have heard no ID for the AM signal.


Still later: It is WGGO after all. At 1900Z I heard a combo ID for WQRS and WGGO. So no longer parallel with WOEN (1360, Olean) - which, by the way, is now c&w as "The Ride"...

Interesting. I've been listening for over two hours and only heard one single ID.

America needs a sense of humor...
