Yes, I thought that even before reading your addendum, KQV has been running old time radio shows for years, The Shadow, Jack Benny and other classics. Awhile ago they even produced new radio plays with local theater and personalities in the Pittsburgh area, writing scripts for original stories that they then aired.

Cool that you heard them, they have a tight beam to the Southeast. You heard a station that history says signed on in 1919!

I did a post on my blog about an old book called Who's Who in PA Radio' where it talks about KQV's history and other stations from Pennsylvania, and there's a PDF copy of the book posted there too.
