Re: What's on 1570? Hopefully, no one.

The MA (Portuguese) station should ID as WMVX in English 4 min's after the hour. Music selection sounds quite good to my ears.

Old notes from a couple of decades ago showed CKLM using 50K on 1570 but I just looked that up online and it's probably CJLV out of Laval, Quebec. It is the replacement for CKLM with 10K watts. Haven't tried for a station ID yet but will now actively listen for the ID.

Every so often a third station pops up in the background but it fades quickly so I can't ID it.

Just heard "Fighting Irish basketball" (Iowa State?) on 1570. But it fades in and out too much. At least now I might be able to figure out which station is carrying the game tonight.

With only 85 watts, WMVX comes in pretty strong at times. Not much else out there to interfere on 1570. Perhaps upping the pwr to a few KW will help us hear you Dood ;)
