Enjoyable catch of XFM on 1/1/2014, 07:05UTC - 07:28UTC, 6960KHz AM. Caught on the A-99 27MHz CB antenna since my longwire was tied up on 13MHz (Some of you know why.) Caught with Kenwood TS-2000X, cheated with RX preamp, but no QRM and signal peaked to S6. Great audio quality! Production and quality of programing equally as great. Playlist very cool blend of modern artists, not the same classic rock we hear everyday on CM radio, but artists that I'm more likely to hear on college radio stations. Heard Red Hat and The Old Proffessor mentioned that they want to do more radio in 2014 and have MW broadcasts planned for possibly on MW AM. (I wanna hear that!) Ended with new track from Mazzi Star, followed by their C-QUAM promo / ID. Off at 07:28UTC. (That was a treat to hear and a great way to DX the new year!)
