R Spaceshuttle - 13800, 04/26, *1959+

Came on at 1959UTC for tuning - and I could hear the signal without any preamp. Male vocalist in Dutch or German at 2000, then Dick Spacewalker talked and a YL vocal at 2004. Got an ID at 2007.

Signal not much better than earlier transmissions

Why do all the Euros bury their IDs in heavy echo? Makes it really hard to understand them!

Later: Signal seemed to peak around 2040 with Steppinwolf "Born To Be Wild" but took a nose-dive by 2050. Hrd Dick talk some more at 2059 and the xmtr went off at 2101.

America needs a sense of humor...
