Re: Winter Sporadic E back in?

Well, my friend had an odd reception at 1610 khz, what sounded like a college station in English, Canadian accented, with a strong signal. The program was an informal discussion of lasers and light refraction with what sounded like a small group of high school or college students, new to radio.

Was it CHHA with an English program? It seemed Spanish music was behind the student talk, but muted.

I don't know if that has to do with sporadic E or changes in propagation all across the spectrum.
