Yeah, perks and jerks will come if LPAM is more of a reality here, if LPTV is anything as an example. When LPTV 1st started out, it did offer TV into communities that didn't have it before, or in big cities, it was an outlet for alternative TV programing. Sadly, many of these stations then turned in to just translators, PI only stations (Where they'd just air infomercials 24/7), or off-air extensions of home shopping CATV networks. Yeah, I can see that coming as well to LPAM. One other thing that LPTV did have is that it was very affordable, at least the NTSC analog version was. Surplus CATV gear could be picked up at HAM fests and if the CATV modulators were FCC certified , there was your TV exciter. The biggest expenses were the EAS, the linear amps, and hardline / antenna, systems. Same could be with LPAM, most Carrier-Current transmitters were / are FCC certified. BTW, somebody wants those old LPB and Radio Systems transmitters. Every time they come up on ebay, they get snatched up quick. Hmmmmm.... Just my $0.02 worth.
