I put fresh batteries into the rusty... errr, Trusty DX-398 this morning and took it along on my wasted trip to the Postal Orfice. I can now categorically state that: (1) The noise is NOT from the solar controllers at the school; all I heard there was silence, (2) I didn't find a plasma TV anywhere near my home although people might not have been at home watching TV at the time, and (3) it does not appear to be coming from the Town barns.

I might also mention that I did not hear the warbly noise on the DX398 at all, either inside or outside.

I'm setting up the digital recorder to get a sound bite and will see if I can post it somewhere on the site. It would probably help if you could hear what I'm talking about Wish me luck!
