First up for Congress returning from Thanksgiving: funding the government. The government will shut down Dec. 11 unless a funding bill is passed!
As in the past, Pirate Radio activity has been a boon during Government shutdowns. FCC keeps its HF direction finding station in Laurel, MD operating but staffed by one or two people. No one to answer the phones as they are on leave.
Not sure the GOP wants the publicity of shutting the government down again, right before Christmas, but stranger things have happened. They are pissed at Obama for his immigration executive order, but there is little they can do about it, other than shutting the government down. Congress puts the "Fun" in dsyfunction and gives Pirate Radio some breathing room to broadcast.
Pirate Ops be on alert, be ready for action, the FCC may get an early Christmas holiday.
