What treaties prohibit the commercialization of SW? There have been commercial stations on SW from Canada since before dinosaurs roamed the earth, WRUL and WNYW carried ads in the 50s through 70s. Today, Radio Thailand carries ads daily, and for goodness sake, the Mighty KBC is NAMED after a commercial enterprise and carries ads for not only KBC but other businesses as well.

I've never heard of a treaty that said 'no ads on SW' .... has it just not been ratified by many countries?
