Excellent thoughts and comments on this topic. As the commercial tv stations have gone to Digital, there should a lot of analog tv exciters and transmitters flooding the used equipment market. Might be time for a couple good Pirate TV-Stations to crop up. Now the problem of content arises.
Having worked in the shadow of the NAB for many decades I can tell you that the NAB has a vision for broadcast radio and TV that isn't shared by most broadcasters. Look at how they've let AM slip through their fingers over the past 20-years. And now FM is starting to slip as well. Its a good ol' boys club just like the ARRL.
Don't care for the Digital set up but it does open the door to Pirate TV.
