These "fake" cell towers aren't really "towers" at all. They are routers, set up in windows that pick up the data that your cell phone sends to real cell towers. They capture the data, reproduce it on other phones and use up your minutes or hack your account and get your SS number, credit card info, date of birth and anything else they can steal. The Secret Service is investigating.
