Re: 2026 AM Rally? In high-gear!!!!

Whoa... Got back from a co=op Grand-Opening to do 40M AM, with all the broadcasters in there jammin' that up, but parking & working 3880kHz AM was jammin' from 5PM EST to well past midnight. There was heavy traffic on 3875 and lots of splatter from 3885. Even, going to 2.5kHz narrow-band at my end didn't fix that, but for over an hour a nice contact round-table from several ops that I haven't caught up with in a few years, and some new ones. Apparently, all that fine-tweaking at my end paid off, since apparent everyone seemed to hear my 80W carrier better than I was hearing their 100W - 300W carrier at my QTH. Still, have this afternoon Sunday for the higher FREQ's. I haven't heard ARRL's W1AW Gate BC-1A transmitter, yet. However, when I do, there will be a moshpit of AM ops in there. Stay tuned!!!!
