13M, 21.695MHz AM, CONT 1KHz tone, 02:40UTC.

Anyone ever heard a 1KHz test tone on the SW bands? Guess I just did. In between t-storms, got word about Aussi's on 10M. Didn't hear crap, so did various band scans. At 02:40UTC I scanned the 13M band to find that dead, except for 21.695MHz AM with a 1KHz continuous tone. Certainly stuck out easy enough. Caught 1st with A-99 CB ANT, signal rapid faded +/-and S unit, averaged an S3. Went to HORZ 60ft longwire to find fading much more pronounced, about +/- two S units. Got sick of it after 5min. Still, it was certainly different.
