0328z: Just tuned in, heard Radio Ronin Shortwave ID, then Led Zep "Stairway to Heaven"
0336z: 3 Doors Down "Kryptonite"
0339z: ID w/ e-mail addy, Guns n' Roses "Sweet Child o' Mine"
0350z: Back after fade-out, "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window", sounds like Joe Cocker version
0400z: Beatles "Eleanor Rigby"
0401z: Radio Ronin Shortwave ID, e-mail addy and sign-offSINPO=34232, fairly steady carrier, battling heavy QRN static crashes, minor pesque QRM on 6950U. Overall best signal yet to my indoor antennas from Ronin. [This message has been edited by Lex (edited July 16, 2010).] Admin |

Radio Ronin Shortwave, 6950.6 AM, 0350, 7/16/10. SIO 233. Sounded like the end of a cover of "Lady Madonna", "This is Radio Ronin
Shortwave", into next song.Good copy here. Seems like move to USB at 0105. Much poorer signal with a lot of distortion which I can't clear up. Mark Taylor,

Thanks for the tip. Just checked a few min ago & RRS is coming in fairly well here. Wonder if these shows tonight are tests to Hungary? Beatles "Eleanor Rigby" @ 0358.Thanks for the show!

Andrew guessed it; this was another test to Hungary, which I am happy to report I heard. This was probably my weakest reception of RRS, however since the songs were familiar to me, it was easy for me to recognize them, and to use ECSS to tune in.Times are approximate in UTC: 0301 ID
0307 "Rock Lobster"
0310 "Don't Fear the Reaper"
0315 ID, then a song with some wailing guitar
0319 "Radar Love"
0324 Brief talk or ID, then "Stairway to Heaven"
0335 "Sweet Child of Mine" SINPO was typically 14431, noise levels were higher than usual, but still very quiet overall. I've now left that location, so I won't be logging anymore stations from Hungary.
