WTCR at 0200 UTC tune in on 11 July 2010, 6925 kHz USB, excellent S9 signal tonight, with noise level minimal, making for great listening. Musical selection "We Are Young." (?)Next selection began at 0203, male vocals, "Don't Believe In More Than Love." (?) 0207 UTC - male ID as "This is WTCR, Twentieth Century Radio," into more music. SIO=454, slight fading and noise. Thanks for the program and musical selections, enjoying the good reception. 73's, Edward Insinger lenapeland@aol.com JRC NRD-525 + End-fed longwire 50 ft long Admin |

Heard from s/on. Mostly above high atmospherics, signal peaks S9+. Somewhat erratic conditions, quick up/down fades.0210z UB40 (? not sure), "I Got You Babe" 0214z "Run-around" 0218z Cream "Politician" Signal remained pretty much unchanged throughout. Some noise, but easy copy & great audio as always. Audio: 66 mins, 15 MB: http://www.mediafire.com/?nkntgnmz4yg [This message has been edited by WEAK Radio (edited July 11, 2010).] Admin |

I also logged WTCR while on vacation in Pecs, Hungary. At 0249 UTC, when I tuned in I heard "She's a Woman", followed by a clear YL computer voice ID and e-mail address at 0251. At 0252 was a familiar pop type ballad with female vocals. Around 0256 the signal was gone. Please note my times may be off by a couple of minutes. SINPO was 34443, probably the strongest, steadiest US pirate reception I've ever had while DXing in Hungary. Radio was only a Sony 7600G, with the 20 foot longwire that comes with an ICF-2010 thrown up into a pine tree. Admin |

That is amazing, considering how sketchy propagation has been this year. Very encouraging. Admin | |
